UP Director Pete Docter Will Return to Monstropolis for MONSTERS INC. 2

Pete Docter and the folks at Pixar have turned in one of the year’s best films with “Up” and while the originality of Pixar is never in doubt, it looks like Docter will going back to Monstropolis for a sequel to 2001’s “Monsters Inc.” According to Jim Hill Media, potential buyers who attended this year’s Licensing International Expo 2009 learned that Docter will follow up “Up” with “Monsters Inc. 2″. There’s currently no word about plot or whether John Goodman and Billy Crystal would reprise their roles as monsters Sully and Mike Wazowski, but as for when we would see the film, it probably wouldn’t be until 2013. Currently, Pixar has “Toy Story 3″ set for 2010, “Cars 2″ (the only Pixar film no one is looking forward to) and “The Bear and the Bow” for 2011, and “Newt” for 2012.

But with perhaps the exception of “The Incredibles”, there’s no Pixar film where I’d go out of my mind for a sequel because I thought the original demanded a franchise. I don’t think a second “Monsters Inc.” film will be bad; I just never saw Pixar as a sequel studio (unlike DreamWorks Animation which in mandating at least two sequels per year). But as long as they’re continuing with original films, and, more importantly, putting emphasis on story first, then I have no concerns about a “Monsters Inc. 2″ and look forward to seeing if Docter can top his work on “Up”.

Javier Bardem Will EAT, PRAY, LOVE with Julia Roberts and Richard Jenkins

After a long spiritual journey, wouldn’t you like to be rewarded with your very own Javier Bardem? That’s what Julia Roberts is getting as Bardem has just signed on to play Felipe, the man author Elizabeth Gilbert (Roberts) meets and falls in love with on the final leg of a journey of self-discovery that began with the end of her marriage, all of which she chronicled in her book “Eat, Pray, Love” which is on the nightstand of every living woman on the planet. I tried reading it once but I opened it to the first page and was hit with the error message: “Must have vagina installed to continue reading book.”

The great Richard Jenkins will also be in the flick but you don’t get him at the end of your spiritual journey because he looks like Richard Jenkins and Javier Bardem looks like Javier Bardem. Instead, according to Variety, Jenkins plays a Texan whom Gilbert befriends at an Indian ashram. While I’m always happy to see Jenkins land a major role (and make no mistake: this is the biggest chick flick since “Sex and the City”), this thing could be a major disaster with Ryan Murphy at the helm since the guy loves to pummel audiences both with his show “Nip/Tuck” and his unwatchable adaptation of “Running with Scissors”.

Heather Graham and Sting have something in common.

While promoting her small role in "The Hangover," Graham told a UK paper how she enjoys tantric sex. Graham is currently dating director Yaniv Raz.

She told the Daily Mail of tantric sex:

I first got into it when I was filming The Guru in 2002 and I haven't looked back. What most people know about tantric sex is that Sting does it and it lasts eight hours. But he's not having sex continually. You can take a bath, massage your partner, listen to music. The idea is that you let the whole thing build very slowly until finally you merge with your partner. It works for me.

What's not working for her is levitation, although Graham claims she has a goal to do that:

So far I've only succeeded in my dreams. I practice transcendental meditation and there is a phase where you're meant to lift off the ground. It hasn't happened yet. I'll manage it one day. In fact, I'm aiming beyond levitation. I want to be able to fly like a superhero. I won't be happy until I can fly across oceans and cities, saving people from being murdered.
